CHINA AWARDS 2023: the winners of the 18th edition

The China Awards come of age and celebrate the important milestone by awarding thirty-one companies and personalities who have distinguished themselves for their achievements in Italy-China exchanges in 2023. The awards were presented this evening in the traditional setting of the "Leonardo da Vinci" Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, and the awards ceremony was followed by a charity dinner to fund scholarships, in collaboration with the Milan Polytechnic, aimed at students of the University involved in activities that can represent a bridge between Italy and China.

THE GUESTS_ The evening was attended by 250 guests, including representatives of Italian business and industry. Doing the honors were Mario Boselli, President of Italy China Council Foundation-ICCF, and Paolo Panerai, Publisher and CEO of Class Editori, who welcomed the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Italy, Jia Guide, together with institutional guests, experts, partners and professionals. The event benefited from the valuable support of Intesa Sanpaolo, Bracco, Cathay, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office and Otto Otto Baijiu.

THE GOLDEN LIONS_ The evening was attended by a number of special guests who received awards in the Golden Lion category, given to personalities from the worlds of culture, sports and entertainment who have distinguished themselves for their role as bridges between Italy and China. Awarded were soccer champion and historic Milan captain Franco Baresi, whose autobiographical book was recently translated into Chinese, the Chinese Olympic ski mountaineering team, and Bai Junyi, a lawyer and lecturer, for his significant contribution to relations between Italy and China.

THE AWARD WINNERS_ Italian and Chinese companies, both multinationals and small and medium-sized enterprises, were honored in six categories: Capital Elite (AC Monza Club Shanghai, Aosom Italia, Creative Italy Lab, Granarolo, Kerry Logistics - Tuvia Italia, Main Tank), Creators of Value (Guangzhou Sanjing Electric, illycaffè, Retex China, Zespri), Eccellenza Italia (Balletto di Roma, Ferretti Group, Fidenza Village - Part of the Bicester Collection, Italian Exhibition Group, POLI. design), Top Investors in China (EuroGroup Laminations, Flamma Group, FuturaSun, Goglio, Industrie De Nora, Itema, Polidoro), Top Investors in Italy (Elle, Haier Europe) and Silk Road (Amplifon, Grimaldi Group, LU-VE Group, Rhea Vendors Group).

"The different sizes and types of activities of the winners of this 18th edition confirm the validity of this award, which for years has been giving visibility to those success stories that work 365 days a year to tighten economic and trade relations between our two countries," said Mario Boselli, President of Italy China Council Foundation-ICCF. "Today, China is no longer only an important country but also a platform for the development of our activities in Southeast Asia, which is one of the most developed areas in the world". 

"The China Awards are a now traditional event, which for years Class Editori has organized with what was the Italy China Foundation and is now the Italy China Council Foundation," said Paolo Panerai, Publisher and Ad of Class Editori. "It is a unique event, and a very precise point of reference in the relationship between Italy and China, because rewarding companies from the two countries for their cross economic activity is tantamount to fostering development and harmony between their respective peoples."
