ITALY CHINA, CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN FOR YOUNG CREATIVE TALENTS

In the coming weeks, a crowdfunding campaign will be launched to support young Chinese creative talents to finance joint artistic projects with Italian girls and boys in the field of art and science. The best proposals will be selected by a committee of experts, and the proposers will have a contribution to work on their projects in Italy. The selected projects will be presented on the website www.chinahearts.eu, and each project, lasting no more than six months, will receive a prize between 5,000 and 10,000 euros.
Among the first availability to host Chinese artists are those of the Mann - National Archaeological Museum of Naples and of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples.
"I am happy - said Li Junhua, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Italy - to be here in this particular period for this important initiative promoted by the Italian cultural and scientific world. The signatures supporting the petition are already many and we expect them to become thousands. The virus that has affected the Chinese people is a danger for the whole world and not only for China. We are reacting with all our strength to implement measures to prevent and contain the epidemic. After tiring moments, the epidemic situation seems to have a positive turn, the number of healings and the people discharged from Hubei hospitals increases day by day. China will continue to strengthen its cooperation with the international community and with Italy. In China we say that after the storm there will be a rainbow, I believe that after this storm the friendship between Italy and China will shine just like a rainbow. You say 'China our heart beat for you' today, we Chinese will say 'Italy our hearts beats for you'. "
"We have promoted this manifesto - declared Vincenzo Lipardi, President of SPICI srl - Society for Innovation, Cooperation and Internationalization - to lead a common battle against a virus perhaps even more subtle than that against which doctors and scientists fight, the virus of fear and intolerance. This is a battle that we feel we are waging in the name of the friendship of our two countries. Personalities from the world of culture and science have decided to put their faces on it, we are proud of this initiative that is positively affecting many people from below. We invite everyone to sign our appeal, the reason is a powerful vaccine that should be nourished by all people of good will. "
Words of support come from the director of Svimez Luca Bianchi, who underlines how “From here we try to reverse the sign of a path, so from a negative fact we can give a positive path to build many things to seal our friendship with the Chinese people ", by the president of Svimez Adriano Giannola, who highlights how:" In this phase of globalization, dialogue with China is strategic for the future of Italy. We hope that from this emergency situation we can draw common fruits born from this spirit of frankness, openness, solidarity and closeness ".
Paolo Giulierini, Director of the MANN - National Archaeological Museum of Naples, sent a greeting via videoconference. "Already from the empire of Augustus - said Giulierini - there were very close commercial relations with China. In this spirit and in memory of this ancient closeness, the Mann of Naples has held important exhibitions dedicated to Pompeii in the cities of Xian, Beijing and Chengdu in recent years and we hosted an exhibition in Naples dedicated to the bronze masks of Chengdu. Furthermore, every year we organize the Chinese New Year with the Chinese community of Naples. We adhere with full confidence and enthusiasm to this solidarity project ".
"China - said Marco Maggiora, director of the Joint Laboratory Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) - National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) - is a strategic partner of Italy not only for the numerous research projects already carried out jointly , but because together we intend to build a future generation of researchers. It pains us to know that certain attitudes dictated by ignorance can make our Chinese friends feel in a sense of distance. This manifesto is a tool to use art, culture and science against all forms of discrimination and, indeed, to strengthen an already solid relationship ".
"The University of Milan - concluded Alessandra Lavagnino, former Full Professor of Chinese Language and Culture, University of Milan and Director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Milan - is here, we are here to witness the presence Confucius institutes of all Italian cities. Thousands of Italian students study Chinese, 30 universities and Italian universities where Chinese is taught, we are ready to provide cultural interpreters and mediators, we keep this chain made of real knowledge alive ".
