Global Tourism Economy Forum di Macao: un bilancio


2017 Global Tourism Economy Forum (“GTEF” or “the Forum”) was grandly held on October 16-17 in Macau. As the leading international tourism platform designed to promote sustainable development of the global tourism industry with a focus on China, GTEF  supports China’s Belt and Road Initiative and embraces the “16+1” economic framework between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries in its 2017 edition under the theme of “Regional Collaboration towards a Better Future”. 
The opening ceremony was officiated by a multitude of dignitaries including Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Forum Chairman of GTEF, Ho Hau Wah; Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization and Honorary Chairman of GTEF, Taleb Rifai; Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration  and Honorary Vice Chairman of GTEF, Li Shihong; Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, Fan Youshan; Ministerial Commissioner for International Tourism Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Emese Boros; Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, Lu Yongzheng; Chairman of World Travel and Tourism Concil, Gerald Lawless; Chairperson of Pacific Asia Travel Association, Sarah Mathews; among other guests. 
GTEF has successfully established an international exchange platform to promote sustainable development of the global tourism industry with a focus on China. GETF 2017 is hosted by the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization, co-organized by the China Chamber of Tourism and coordinated by the Global Tourism Economy Research Centre. GTEF’s supporting units include China National Tourism Administration, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR, Macao Government Tourism Office, World Travel and Tourism Council, Pacific Asia Travel Association, World Tourism Cities Federation and European Travel Commission. Since its inception in 2012, GTEF had thus far hosted more than 7,000 participants from 63 countries and regions, including 54 delegations from different provinces and autonomous regions of Mainland China.

Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities; Michael Frenzel, Chairman Emeritus of TUI Group. 
Face to Face, Ministers and Private Sector CEOs
GTEF 2017 has also hosted China's outbound tourism Workshop and B2B Business Exchange European quality tourism suppliers certified by QSC program were specially invited to participate in the Forum.  They conducted productive face to face business exchange meeting with 20 leading Chinese outbound tour operators, MICE operators, FIT operators and OTAs from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan and other Chinese provinces. The leading Chinese outbound tour operators expressed their intention that they would choose quality tourism suppliers who have obtained QSC certification as their preferred business partners. 2018 is the China-EU Tourism Year. Chinese tourists have higher demand for the service quality of European tourism suppliers. Those quality tourism suppliers certified by QSC program will be more welcomed and recognized by Chinese buyers.
