There are 52 entrepreneurs / managers for the Business cluster and 15 executives for that Institutions who will take part in the China Executive Training Program, a training course dedicated to managers and entrepreneurs of companies and institutions in the tourism sector and of the entire hospitality supply chain motivated to acquire high-profile tools and skills, essential for working with Chinese customers and partners in an intercultural context. The 67 participants joined the call launched by the Lombardy Region through Explora, the tourism promotion company of the Region, and in collaboration with our Permanent Training School: they will follow the training lessons starting on November 12nd for free, with the presence of the Tourism Councilor, territorial marketing and fashion Lara Magoni, and will end on November 30th.
The program is structured to allow managers and professionals in the tourism sector, public and private, to identify business opportunities with a medium-long term vision, also in view of the most significant events of the coming years: Year of Culture and Tourism Italy - China (2021), Beijing Winter Olympics (2022), Milan - Cortina Winter Olympics (2026).
China is a target market considered strategic: before the Coronavirus emergency, flows to Italy were estimated to continue to grow and several agreements were signed at a national level to strengthen tourist and cultural relations between the two countries. Although the explosion of the contagion has radically changed the context, it is not possible to ignore the weight of Chinese tourism on the Lombard economy and, from a short-medium term planning perspective, it is strategic to immediately consider a perspective for the post-emergency.
