Established in 1987 to manage the Venice Marco Polo airport, SAVE is now the holding company of a Group that manages the North-East Airport System, which includes the airports of Venice, Treviso, Verona and Brescia. In 2018 the System registered a total of 18 million passengers. The Group also holds 27.65% of the Belgian airport of Charleroi.
The coordinated management of the airports allows to develop their respective potential and to serve the territory synergistically. At the heart of the System is the Venice airport, 3rd Italian intercontinental gateway with 11.2 million passengers in 2018. The infrastructure development of the airport is regulated by the Master Plan 2012 - 2021, which includes investments of 900 million euros, 450 million of which have already been invested. 45 million euros are destined to environmental and ecological interventions.
