Job purpose
The Junior Chinese Social Media Manager is responsible for the development of strong digital content for the social media platforms, with particular focus and expertise on China market. He/She develops dedicated strategies to increase the relevance of Inter Chinese social media channels, in strong cooperation with the Chinese agency and China Office team. The responsibilities will also include content reviews in Chinese language, supports to China office requests, organization of workflow between China team and Inter Media House team.
Duties and responsibilities
• Organise the Chinese social media plan and manage its daily operation coordinating with Global social media team and Chinese agency
• Support HQ and local teams in implementing the global campaigns, with a strong focus on the Chinese audience and on developing dedicated social contents
• Ensures that the digital content/campaigns for Chinese audience are in line with the Inter brand positioning and image
• Develop the content strategy dedicated to Chinese audience, create ad hoc content and online activities for relevant key moments in China
• Manage requests from China Office team coordinating with HQ teams
• Assist the Content team in preparing reports and benchmarking analysis with focus on China market
• Coordinate the translation workflow for the Chinese language version of inter.it
• Create and coordinate digital content related to regional partners, local Inter Clubs and Academies
• Participate at the renewal/pitch process of the Chinese agency
• Be the main point of reference for the Inter Media House for liaising with China Office and Chinese agency, cooperating with the Content team managers
• Whereas needed, coordinate projects and external partners, such as agencies and consultants, in order to perform the above-mentioned tasks, ensuring high quality contents and compliance with timetables and budgets at all times.
Qualifications / abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline
• Fluent speaker and writer in Mandarin, English and Italian
• 2+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing
• Keen on digital and content marketing, with an ongoing focus on evolution of industry trends and platforms, specifically the Chinese ones
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, great ability to deliver effective presentations
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects, possess the ability to work independently and achieve established deadlines and goals
• Ability to coordinate the workflow, prioritise content and handle requests from different areas of the Club
• Analytical skills (able to analyse, assess data, determine trends and opportunities, identify problems and suggest solutions)
• Be an expert in identifying awesome content and good understanding of what it takes to make good content
• Good business knowledge of the Club brand values, working tools and appropriate language to be used on the different digital platforms
• Experience in Sport & Entertainment is considered a plus
• Full knowledge of the following communication channels: Weibo, Wechat, Douyin, Toutiao, Dongqiudi
Working conditions
The person will be based in our HQ in Milan, as the role is part of the IMH team, basically the job requires broad availability, including during nights and weekends, if needed even to ensure events coverage; also, it could require travelling and working outdoors (e.g. away matches) as well as with challenging internal and external stakeholders.
